This 45 minute virtual program will be led by a Museum Teacher, using actual artifacts from our collection, reproductions, historic images, and video footage projected on our green screen. In this particular interactive program, participants will learn about the whale ship CHARLES W. MORGAN as the centerpiece of our Museum collections. The experience will be focused on these key questions: • What is Mystic Seaport and what do we have in our collection? • Why do we collect these things? • What was the Charles W. Morgan? • What was whaling? • Why did people whale? • What can we learn from the whaling objects that people left behind?
